GLOVES OFF

I am done. This is a copy of a FaceBook post I made today. I almost just posted it here because I didn't want to antagonize supporters of the occupier. I say now, fuck it. If anyone is offended they need to ask themselves why? I do not intend to spend the next three and a half years swallowing my tongue and apologizing for calling out lies and self agrandizing, hate filled rhetoric. So for good or ill, this is out there.

I have been trying very hard to keep channels of communication open with people who I know are thoughtful, patriotic, caring Americans that still support Mr. Trump despite his divisive, and very often incendiary rhetoric. I have tried to soften my criticism and be respectful of other views.The current occupier of the People's House stood in front of world leaders and talked for almost an hour. During that hour he revealed himself to be a mendacious, ignorant, delusional, petty bully. (the escalator stopped? Seven wars ended? Really!) This man is a convicted felon, and an adjudicated sexual offender, with questionable business ethics. He frequently expresses disagreement with others by using insults and slurs or denigrating their physical appearance. This is especially true with women. He is, out of his own mouth, at best white supremacy adjacent and at worst an actual white supremacist.

Is whatever personal gain you think you are experiencing worth this travesty? This is not a rhetorical question. If you support him and think he is good for the country, tell me why. I really want to understand.
